Valentine's Day is this Sunday, and in case you've forgotten, you've still got a little bit of time to make a dinner reservation and pick up something from one of the neighborhood's many florists. Here's a look back at what's been going on this week, and what's coming up for the weekend.

Now that Super Bowl 50 has ended, Muni is mostly back to normal. But Castro locals will have to wait another weekend before the historic streetcars return to the F-Market route. Bus shuttles continue to run from Ferry Plaza to the Castro until Monday.

In happier news, the Westboro Baptist Church was a no-show to a threatened protest of an LGBT-friendly children's book reading at the Castro Books Inc. Had they shown up, however, they would have faced a flock of supporters from the local community, who came out to defend the book and its author.

Over at the Castro Theatre, there appears to be a bit of a problem with the "T" on the marquee. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon:

In the wake of our recent neighborhood crime roundup, there's another incident outside the Castro worth mentioning: Jeffery Lafayette, a local gay man, was assaulted in the Marina on Super Bowl weekend. He says he was targeted for wearing white pants, and that the men who attacked him called him "girly" and "faggot."

Since Dolores Park reopened two weeks ago, the pissoir at the corner of 20th and Church Streets has gotten a lot of attention. Now, an anti-LGBT group, the Pacific Justice Institute, has threatened to sue the city over the pissoir's lack of privacy.

On the other end of the privacy spectrum, Gypsy Taub and other nudism activists are planning a "Valentine's Nude Love Parade" on Saturday, beginning at Jane Warner Plaza.

We got to know the owners of Corona Heights' "storybook house," which is renowned in the neighborhood and beyond for its great holiday decorations. While it's known for its Halloween and Christmas displays, the husbands who own it also do it up for Valentine's Day.

Over in Duboce Triangle, neighbors voiced some strong opinions at a community meeting on Monday regarding sex-offender rehab clinic Sharper Future's plan to move in on Church Street. As a result, Sharper Future has abandoned its plans for the facility.

Meanwhile, the new apartment building at Sanchez and Market now has a name: The Duboce. Here are some renderings showing what it'll look like when it starts leasing later this year.

If you're single and looking for something fun to do for V-Day, a day of playing some free video games at Brewcade might just be the right distraction. They're putting all their machines on free play this Saturday, to celebrate their first anniversary. And more events are in the works, including "Cosmic Gaming" with blacklights every Friday night.

Here's what else is going on around the Castro this weekend.
