'DivCo' Is Yelp's New Term For Divisadero, NoPa And Lower Haight CombinedPhoto: Scott Beale/Flickr

If you've always struggled to remember the multiple neighborhoods bordering Divisadero, never fear—Yelp has come up with a solution. In an email sent to its subscribers this morning, the business review site announced a new abbreviation for the area encompassing NoPa, Divisadero and Lower Haight.

"DivCo, or now known as Divisadero Corridor, is no longer a divider, but your newest neighborhood that encompasses NoPa and the Lower Haight as one," Yelp stated. "Take a stroll down one of San Francisco's best streets and get a little taste of everything from epic toast to, arguably, one of the best music venues in town."

SFist first brought the new neighborhood name to our attention, comparing it to ever-controversial neighborhood portmanteau "NoPa" (which we covered extensively here). "No. Just... no," wrote SFist. "Stop it."

What do you think of the latest attempt to create a new neighborhood name? Will it stick? What would you call it?
