Haight Street's Burger Urge To Change Ownership, But Not MenuPhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline

If you've passed by Haight and Clayton in the past week, chances are you've seen the posting in the window announcing the change-of-ownership application at Burger Urge.

It turns out that the application on file isn't for a full overhaul, but merely for a stock ownership change. That will leave the business more or less the same, as far as customers are concerned.

According to an employee who answered the phone this morning (and declined to be named), "nothing is changing" in terms of the restaurant's menu offeringsThis may come as a disappointment to some neighbors, a variety of whom evidently find Burger Urge leaves something to be desired, if its 2.5-star Yelp rating is any indication.

The store manager was too busy yesterday and today to comment about the restaurant's future, so for now, the new owner remains a mystery. We'll keep you posted with any burger-oriented developments.
