Tipster Blake notified us last night of shots fired on Eddy between Webster and Laguna, and police report this morning that a man in his 20s was shot on the 1100 block of Eddy Street at around 8:20pm.

According to the police report, four male suspects drove by the victim, possibly in a four-door white Acura, and shot the victim with a rifle. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the back of the shoulder and a bullet also grazed his head; he transported himself to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects drove away in an unknown direction, and no arrests have been made.

The shooting followed a homicide at the nearby Fillmore Street McDonald's earlier in the day, though it's unclear if it was related in any way.
