TL Week: Hibernia Bank Lives, Community Arts Program Reopens, Goodbye To The Gangway, MoreHospitality House's Community Arts Program at 1009 Market St. (Photo: Brittany Hopkins/Hoodline)

With Super Bowl 50 said and done, things around the city are starting to get back to normal. While the jury is still on whether the city benefitted as projected, at least one Tenderloin resident can say it was definitely worth it.

ABC7 reports that the founder of City Academy—the private faith-based elementary school at Jones and Turk—just happened to find two tickets to the Super Bowl while enjoying the festivities at the NFL Experience in SoMa. When the owner of the tickets couldn't be located, he opted to sell them for $8,500, enough to put one local child through the academy for one year. The tickets sold in minutes.

Another piece of positive news that hit this week: Public Works is getting serious about picking up the syringes that litter the streets around Civic Center.

Many have also spotted that the Hibernia Bank at Jones and Market has reawakened after decades of abandonment.

We'll let you know as soon as the property owner opens up on who they've chosen to fill the historic space. In the meantime, here are a few shots of the renovated interior.

Another neighborhood space that's come alive again: Hospitality House's Community Arts Program. After months and months of renovations, their Sixth and Market home is back in businesses, and the grand re-opening celebration is from 5-7pm tonight. The inaugural exhibition features the work of artists Brian Bourassa and E. Lewis Basher.

Despite all the life coming back to these key corners of the neighborhood, we may soon be saying goodbye to a neighborhood institution: The Gangway. For those reeling over the expected loss of the city's oldest gay bar, the Tenderloin Museum is hosting an opportunity to commiserate together—over drinks, of course.

Here are a few more events we're looking forward to over the next week.
