A Sneak Peek Of The Menu At Mid-Market’s Waystone, Opening This SummerPhoto: Brittany Hopkins/Hoodline

Last fall, we broke the news that Causwells' Tom Patella and his partner, Chef Billy Riordan, are hard at work developing Waystone — a wine bar that's taking over the vacant space between Popsons and Equator in Market Street's Warfield building this year.

Now, we have a first look at the bites the team plans to serve alongside glasses of wine and beer. With eyes on becoming a go-to for neighborhood workers, shoppers and residents alike, the menu features a selection of sandwiches, salads and toasts piled with toppings, well as heavier entrees like Shrimp and Bacon Pie and Braised Beef for evening diners. (Pricing still TBD.)

Here's a closer look at the Avocado Toast, the star at a recent pop-up lunch for workers in the Warfield building.

Construction is expected to begin in the next couple of weeks and wrap up by July. In the meantime, you can follow the eatery on Instagram and Facebook for more photos and progress reports.
