The Castro has been enjoying a lull in bank robberies since an unfortunate crime streak back in October. But tipster Eric H. and others note that police were out in force this afternoon, apparently in response to an incident at the Citibank located at 444 Castro St.

We've reached out to SFPD for details on what's going down, and will update when we learn more. 

Update, 3/17: Yesterday's police activity at the 444 Castro St. Citibank was in response to a false alarm, according to SFPD's Public Information Officer, Albie Esparza.
