If you've made your way by 1782 Haight St. (formerly Rusu Style) recently, you'll have noticed some changes: a sherbet-colored paint job, newspapers on the windows, and, occasionally, lights on inside.

Details about the space are still spare, but we've been able to glean this much: the storefront, which was also previously occupied by the Fizzary, will soon be resurrected in the service of ice cream.

The owner of the new project remains a mystery, but permits filed with the city over the past couple of months indicate a conversion to an eat-in ice creamery, and a contractor at the site today confirmed what the new coolers and cafe tables intimated: Haight Street is about to get a new ice cream parlor.

The interior, as visible to passersby this week, has been revamped, with a peach-hued paint job, old-school ceiling fans and light fixtures, and a tin ceiling.

We'll keep you posted on the name, menu and vision of the new shop as we learn more.
