Quinoa-based, semi-automated food purveyor Eatsa is opening its second outlet in the city on Thursday, at One California St. (It also has a Los Angeles location.)
The original Eatsa opened August 31st at 121 Spear St. in Rincon Center, offering a somewhat futuristic dining experience centered around bowls of quinoa and fixings (all $6.95 and all vegetarian, with a variety of preparations from burrito to Mediterranean). All items are ordered via touchscreen or app, made behind the scenes, and delivered hands-free via cubbies in a wall. The concept has proven to be a big hit at Rincon Center, often drawing long lines at lunchtime.
