Detective show Murder in the First is set to film around the city this week, first hitting the Hayes Valley neighborhood today. Signs posted along Grove Street indicate that the shooting will take place from 8am-8pm, with 73 no-parking signs posted on surrounding streets. "We will make parking available to residents as soon as filming in each area is completed," states the filming notice.

Come Thursday, the crew will move down to the Hall of Justice at 850 Bryant St. in SoMa to continue filming outside. The shoot will include one scene depicting a protest outside the building.

From 11am Thursday to 12:30pm Friday, all four lanes of traffic on Bryant Street outside the building will be closed. A total of 53 no-parking signs will be posted on surrounding blocks, with the majority affecting Bryant Street between Sixth and Seventh and Harriet Street between Ahern and Brannan.

Both SFPD and SFMTA representatives will be on site to manage the closures, the notice assures.

Murder in the First is set in San Francisco, and each season features a different murder. Season 3 addresses the murder of a football player, with Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson playing SFPD homicide detectives.
