What's on tap this weekend? Quite the eclectic mix of parties, as it turns out.
First, indulge in a bit of TLC for the heart. The Holistic Underground is taking over 715 Harrison tonight for HeartSpace—a long night of holistic healing and social justice dialogue. Talk politics and peace, learn how to get involved with local organizations like Black Lives Matter and Ecojustice, then enjoy a free massage, local art, music across two stages and more.
Also seeking to foster peace, the neighborhood anti-violence organization United Playaz is hosting another gun buy-back event with the SFPD this Saturday morning at their Sixth and Howard clubhouse. Turn your unwanted cold/hard guns into cold hard cash—no questions asked.
Then, there's plenty of locally-brewed beer to be had at R.O.C.K. The Brew, San Francisco's "official" homebrew competition and tasting. For $10 you'll receive a complimentary glass and two free tastings. All proceeds go to Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K.), academic and social support for at-risk youth in Visitacion Valley.
