2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Webster & Ivy In Hayes ValleyPhoto: Will Sargent/Twitter

An attic fire was reported this afternoon around 4:30pm on the 600 block of Webster, between Hayes and Grove streets.

Hoodline reader Ed K. wrote in from the scene, telling us "there's a big fire by Webster and Ivy. Mostly out now, but 20-30 firetrucks still there, and firemen watering and chopping away at the building with a big crowd watching."

According to the SFFD scanner, the fire was contained to one corner of the roof, though there were several hot spots. No visible flames were reported as of 4:40pm, and at 4:45pm, the fire was stated as being contained. We'll keep you updated if more information becomes available.

Update: Muni is being rerouted around the scene.
