The body of a man was recovered from Alvord Lake in Golden Gate Park this morning, according to an initial report from ABC7.

Multiple tipsters report police and caution tape around the area.

We'll update this story if and when we learn more.

The discovery comes less than three months after another man's body was found near Chain of Lakes & Martin Luther King Blvd. in Golden Gate Park, possibly also in the water. Foul play was ruled out in that case.

Update, 4:30pm: The Chron reports that the body was discovered, by a gardener, floating in Alvord Lake around 7am this morning. The death is being treated as suspicious, as the Chron reports that detectives uncovered evidence suggesting there was a struggle before the man’s death.

SFPD's homicide unit is investigating, and the Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine cause of death.

The Chron also reports that detectives are planning to drain the lake in search of further evidence.
