Tonight, join the SFMTA for an Upper Market Street Safety Project Open House discussion, in which information will be shared about additional planned safety improvements like sidewalk extensions, buffered and protected bike lanes, potential circulation and parking/loading (i.e. double-parking).

On Friday, join Strut for their First Friday opening for the new exhibit "Duane Wakeham Draws Gay Men's Sketch, 1987-2016." Wakeham has been attending the special drawing event "Gay Men Sketch" since 1987, and at the age of 85, this will be his first solo exhibition of his drawings of the male nude.

On Sunday afternoon, join Cypress String Quartet for their Live! In the Castro pop-up Beethoven event in Jane Warner Plaza. Cypress String Quartet will be performing the complete Beethoven string quartets over two weeks in May at a variety of venues across the city.

Monday night at the Castro Theatre, Broadway's Eden Espinoza (Wicked, RENT) will perform as part of Bay Area Musicals' benefit fundraiser, "A Twist Of Limelight." Founded by Matthew McCoy last year, Bay Area Musicals will be announcing their second season of shows beginning this fall. The event will also feature food and drinks, performances, and a silent and live auction with items like Disneyland tickets and vacation stays.
