Homage opened on Monday at 88 Hardie Place, a serene alley just off of a frenetic stretch of Kearny. It features a rotating selection of breakfast and lunch dishes that utilize local, seasonal ingredients, but still offer the fast turnaround that busy FiDi workers expect and need. Hours are 8am-4pm.
As we reported earlier, Chef David Kurtz, who's worked at Aziza, Bacar, Coi, Frances, Michael Mina and Saison, and co-owned Lower Haight restaurant/bar Maven, lists his current roster of ingredients on the menu, along with a shoutout paying "homage" to one local farm in particular.
The opening menu includes items like a strawberry, lemon and hibiscus hand pie ($5), chilled English pea and mint soup ($7), applewood-smoked chicken tartine ($13) and eight-layer lasagna with "this morning's ricotta" ($14).
