If you haven't already made Mother's Day brunch plans in the Inner Sunset, you may be out of luck. Already a hotspot for the most popular meal of the weekend, several eateries we contacted indicated that they're booked solid for Sunday brunch.

All is not lost, though: call ahead to Arizmendi Bakery on 9th Avenue to reserve some goods from their weekend menu, which includes almond sourdough croissants, vegan apple-sage sourdough and chocolate-cherry sourdough cheese scones.

For the kitchen-inclined, the vendors at the Inner Sunset Farmers Market can provide everything for a home-cooked brunch, including meats, cheeses and more locally sourced items. Even better: many of them will happily offer recipes and cooking tips upon request.

Feel like making a more permanent Mother's Day memory? Take her to Earthfire Arts Studio on Sunday afternoon for tea, samosas, and tile painting. Mothers will receive a free tile to decorate; after you're finished, studio owner Asima Arif will fire it in her kiln.

Check out the full lineup of local events below, and visit hoodline.com/events for more events from around the city.

Do you have an event to promote? List it for free on the Hoodline events calendar to reach a wide audience inside (and outside) your neighborhood. Submit your event details and we may even feature it right here next week.
