Maven Continues Monday Pop-Up Series With Charcuterie-Centric 'Old Man Fischer'Photo: Maven/Facebook

After hosting forthcoming Portuguese restaurant Uma Casa for a series of Monday pop-ups last month, Maven (598 Haight St.) is keeping the ball rolling with a new purveyor of Monday-night meals.

Tonight (May 16th) and on May 23rd and 30th, the restaurant will host Old Man Fischer, a charcuterie-centric pop-up from Alex and Jen Jackson, who've cooked at Frances, Octavia, and Sons & Daughters.

The centerpiece of Old Man Fischer's menu is a $30 charcuterie board with smoked duck ham, pork paté, rabbit liver mousse, and Dungeness crab in fumet jelly, accompanied by pickles and bread. They'll also have snacks like squid ink flatbread, jo-jo potatoes, and a rotating salad, accompanied by cocktail pairings from Maven bar director Tim Hagney.

Catch Old Man Fischer on Mondays from 5:30-11:30pm, and expect another Maven pop-up to arrive next month.
