After an extensive international search, the Exploratorium, the hands-on science museum at Pier 15, has named a new executive director: Chris Flink will begin on June 27th. He replaced Dennis Bartels, who announced his resignation in June of 2015.

Flink is a partner at IDEO, a design and consulting firm where he's headed the firm’s Consumer Experience Design practice and co-founded its New York office over his 18-year tenure. He's also a consulting associate professor at Stanford University, where he's taught a range of courses on human-centered innovation since 1999.
