Outer Sunset Week: Endangered Animals, Honey Hive Concerts, Asian Art, MoreBlack rhinos Elly and Boone (Marianne Hale/San Francisco Zoo)

Brisk winds have been buffeting our fair corner of San Francisco, but despite the gusts and the hints of rain to come, you'll still have many options available for your weekend and beyond.

This weekend, head over to the San Francisco Zoo for three days focused on raising awareness around endangered animals with talks and other educational activities. You'll also get a chance to learn more about the endangered animals at the zoo, which include the pied tamarin, polar bear, and fishing cat. Sunday at the Zoo also sees a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle giveaway, where lucky visitors can get snag swag and tickets for the upcoming film.

Music lovers also have their pick of events. This weekend, check out pop-punk or hip-hop with concerts at the Honey Hive Gallery, or a classical sitar concert at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, which we profiled last month.

And on Tuesday, get a sneak peek of the Asian Art Museum's June exhibit, "Emperor's Treasures." The Parkside Library will host a talk with a docent on rare masterpieces from the National Palace Museum in Taipei, many of which originally from the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
