Renovated POPOS Now Open At One CaliforniaPhoto: Geri Koeppel/Hoodline

After being closed since last summer, the newly renovated Privately Owned Public Open Space (POPOS) has finally reopened at the One California building with a new "ONE" sculpture as its centerpiece and some tiered seating, but not much greenery.

building permit showed the landlord spent $1.2 million on the project, which eliminated the old bench-style seating near the BART/Muni entrance and created more space to walk on Market Street. Also, permanent tables and chairs were installed on the north side of the building outside of the San Francisco Soup Kitchen.
