Ready to call it a week? Good, because we've got a few ideas to fill up your weekend.
First off, tonight is the Lower Polk Art Walk. In addition to the usual suspects around Lower Polk, Ramon's Tailor at Jones and Geary is getting in on the action to show off the Postal Collage Project No. 5.
Tomorrow is the first Friday of the month, meaning it's time for another 4 Corner Friday. But this time, six corners are joining the festivities: Golden Gate & Leavenworth, Golden Gate & Jones, Golden Gate & Hyde, Golden Gate & Taylor, Turk & Leavenworth and Turk & Jones. Of the many neighbors you'll find on the street, 826 Valencia will be out in force at Golden Gate & Hyde to chat with folks about its soon-to-debut writing and tutoring center for youth.
Finally, let's talk food.
On Saturday, Fine & Rare is hosting a Dungeness Crab Feast. For $75 you'll get a bib and a tool to devour all-you-can-eat crab plus all-you-can-down mimosas and beer for two whole hours.
Come Sunday, Mid-Market's private event venue The Village is opening its doors for the first event in its new Farm-To-Fork pop-up dinner series. The inaugural meal will feature Tu David Phu, a Bay Area chef from southern Vietnam who was most recently with Gather in Berkeley. A portion of the proceeds from the $100-$150 tickets will go to Slide Ranch in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which offers sustainable farming education to underprivileged students.
