It's Friday, another Bay To Breakers has come and gone with festivities and mixed results, and it's time to think about the weekend. Your Upper Haight week this week is largely musical and artsy, with a couple of chances to get outside if the weather holds.

As a proviso to local drivers, parking continues to be interrupted for the coming days as contractors resurface sidewalks that aren't up to code, especially along Page Street at Cole, Clayton, and Ashbury. You might have noticed other work signs along Ashbury; according to DPW representative Alex Murillo, these are not work-related, but involve the city's hired film crew documenting PG&E work results along the street.

Kick off the weekend's events tonight with Second Act's SF State student filmmaker night, which starts at 7pm. Free and open to the public, the night will showcase indie short films made by SFSU film students.

On Saturday, the Red Vic will be hosting the newest installment of its live nude model sketching party, complete with live music. From 2-5 pm, you can hang out, listen to music, chat with fellow sketchers, and draw from live figure models. Entry is donation-based.

Don't know how to ride a bike? It's never too late to learn. On Sunday, certified instructors will be hosting a learn-to-ride class for adult beginners who want to get on their wheels.

Here's a longer smattering of things in store for the weekend and the week ahead. As always, send us your event submissions to see your events in a future roundup, and check out all the events going on around the city here
