Whether you're staying in the Castro for Dore Alley (aka Up Your Alley) or heading down to SoMa, it's shaping up to be a great weekend. Let's take a look at a few event highlights this week, with an emphasis on Dore Alley-themed happenings.

Thursday evening, join Sister Hera Sees Candy at Spark Arts for Sisters Speak: An Intimate Evening With the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Sister Hera will be discussing queer spirituality and its impact on gay culture, and proceeds from the event benefit the upcoming Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence book.

Kickoff Dore Alley weekend Friday night at the GLBT History Museum with Mighty Reels: That's MS. Leather to You. The series continues with an hour-long video featuring the first ever International Ms. Leather Competition in 1987.

If you don't want to head to SoMa for Dore Alley but still want to wear your gear, head over to The Edge Saturday night for its monthly leather night Code.

After Dore Alley, head over to Strut in the Castro on Sunday evening for Black Brothers Esteem 20th Anniversary Gala. Black Brothers Esteem is a program focused on black same-gender loving men. The event includes an awards ceremony, catered food and a live DJ.

On Monday, join a conversation with some of the men from the documentary film "Last Men Standing" at the Lookout. Sacred Cocktails- Last 'People' Standing : Long-term Survivors of HIV conversation topics will include the experience of making the film and the challenges and inspirations of being a long-term survivor of AIDS.
