Summer is in full swing in San Francisco, with the morning fog burning off and giving way to blue skies and sunshine in the afternoon. As another weekend approaches, let's take a look at a few events going on around the neighborhood that you may want to check out.
Tomorrow night at Lookout, the Rice Rockettes present Te Amo Orlando. This performance is a benefit for the victims of the Orlando shooting; proceeds will go towards Equality Florida's GoFundMe campaign, which has currently raised over $7 million.
On Friday night, head to Qbar for Glow: Blacklight Underwear Party and strip down to your undies for a night of dancing. Neon clothes are strongly encouraged, and party hosts will be ready to cover your body in glow-in-the-dark paint.
Though the Castro's Myriad Marketplace opened back in March, it took a while for all its spaces to be filled. Now that the market hall is complete, it's hosting a grand opening celebration on Saturday. Stop by and check out the wide variety of food and drink options, along with live music.
Finally, on Monday evening, head over to Strut for Foglifter Journal's San Francisco launch reading. The event aims "to uplift and support the voices of the marginalized, the many, the queer."
