Traffic at First and Market streets has come to a standstill, as a protest is blocking the intersection, according to tipster Blake M. The protest is causing disruption to Muni service as well:

According to a Twitter user, the protest is part of a SEIU "Justice For Janitors" action, with approximately 200 protesters participating. However, the SEIU Local 87 website and Facebook page make no mention of a protest this afternoon.
Market Street has already seen a series of protest-related shutdowns earlier this week as part of Black Lives Matter efforts, most notably on Saturday afternoon and evening. If you know more about today's protest, please send us a tip.
Update, 4:05pm: According to Muni, the protest has been cleared.
UPDATE: Protest has cleared off Market and 1st. All #SFMuni Market Street svc resuming regular IB/OB routes.
