TL Week: Tour Ghost Advertisements, Pay Homage To Classic Black Theater, Learn Coding Skills & MorePhoto: Courtesy of Nan Castle

Another beautiful weekend is almost here, and of course we know a few ways to keep you busy until Monday returns.

Starting tonight, the SF Recovery Theatre is staging seven nightly performances of Reflections in Black—an homage to black theater. Each show features local talent performing excerpts from classic works that reflect the local African-American community's struggles, with the goal of honoring black artists who've recently passed away.

Interested in trying your hand at web development? Local nonprofit Techtonica is hosting a free coding workshop at St. Anthony's Tenderloin Technology Lab from 9am-3pm, with an emphasis on low-income women and non-binary adults. They're also seeking volunteers to help work one-on-one with participants or support the program in other ways.

And for history buffs, a local artist and founder of the San Francisco Ghost Signs Mapping Project is leading Saturday and Sunday morning tours of the many decades-old advertisements still haunting the neighborhood. The two-hour tour weaves through downtown alleys, exploring the city's colorful past through these fading murals.

Finally, before it goes into hiding again, soak up some sun at the Phoenix Hotel's pool party this Sunday afternoon this afternoon. Expect cocktails, live DJs and BBQ'd fare.
