Three men are in life-threatening condition following separate violent incidents over the weekend, which occurred in Mid-Market, North Beach and Lower Nob Hill.

On Friday evening (Aug. 26th) around 5:30pm, a 36-year-old man was standing at a bus stop at Eighth and Market when he was approached by a 21-year-old man, who had some words with the victim before punching him in the right temple. The victim fell down and lost consciousness, sustaining a life-threatening head injury.

At 1:30am on Saturday morning (Aug. 27th), a man in his twenties (the suspect) and a 29-year-old man (the victim) got into an argument on the 500 block of Broadway in North Beach. The argument escalated, and the suspect punched the victim in the head, causing him to fall and strike his head on the pavement. The suspect stomped the victim's head twice, causing life-threatening head trauma, and fled the scene.

Shortly after 1:30am on Sunday (Aug. 28th), near the intersection of Polk and Fern streets, a 55-year-old man was approached by two menĀ who began beating him up, knocking him to the ground and kicking him in the head, and causing a cut to the eye, loss of consciousness, and critical injuries. The suspects then fled the scene in a sedan, leaving eastbound on Fern Street.

No arrests have yet been made in any of these three assaults.
