A 48-year-old woman is in life-threatening condition after being attacked on the 400 block of Kearny Street (between Pine and California streets). According to police, the woman was walking on Kearny around 11:10pm last night when a 35-year-old male suspect approached her and yelled at her. He then grabbed her and slammed her on the ground, which caused her to hit her head and lose consciousness. 

The suspect fled westbound on Pine, and was not apprehended. The woman was admitted to the hospital in life-threatening condition. We'll keep you posted if an arrest is made.
