Batter Bakery is relocating. After nearly five years at 2127 Polk St. (at Broadway), the bakery is moving its flagship kitchen and retail shop to 1517 Pine St. (at Polk), where it's set to open this Monday, August 15th.

Batter will continue to serve cookies, shortbread, cakes, ice cream sandwiches, scones, and seasonally rotating desserts, and to sell take-home doughs and batters. As far as the café, they’ll be open for breakfast and lunch, with items like quiche, breakfast quinoa, and biscuit breakfast sandwiches, in addition to espresso drinks made with beans from Equator Coffee.

The Pine Street location features a large showcase window and a white wood interior spotted with the bakery's signature polka dots.

Production for Batter's other locations, including a kiosk at 555 California Street, a retail shop at One Market Plaza, and stands at Saturday’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and Sunday’s Stonestown Market, will all occur in the new Pine Street space.

The new locale will also begin to host events this fall, such as evening baking, cookie decorating classes, and opportunities for private bookings.

Hours for the Pine Street shop will be 7am-7pm daily.
