Coffee Cabin Bids Farewell To Lower Nob HillPhoto: Desiree P./Hoodline

"The Coffee Cabin on Bush appears to be closing," reports tipster John H., who wonders what might be next for the Lower Nob Hill location.

Indeed, a visit to the coffee shop at 899 Hyde St. confirms the closure. Paper covers the windows and door, and a farewell message has been posted:

Thanks everybody. Goodbye and good luck.

City records indicate the Coffee Cabin has been around since 1997, under the ownership of Twal Issa Sefte.

Yelpers noted the owner's friendly attitude and proximity to Saint Francis Memorial Hospital as draws for the business, which looks to have closed earlier this month. "[The] coffee isn't the best, but the owner just made my day," wrote Rob M. on Aug. 5th. "Seriously the happiest man alive. I wish more business people were like that."
