Since 1:30pm yesterday, SFPD officers have been trying to convince a man barricaded inside a home on the 200 block of Miramar Avenue, at the corner of Ocean Avenue, to surrender peacefully.

According to NBC Bay Area, the police have said that the incident unfolded after the suspect allegedly robbed someone of an electronic device earlier in the afternoon.
The suspect's family members have said that he is mentally ill. It's unclear whether the suspect is armed.

Update, 4:30pm: KRON4 reports that the standoff ended around 3:15pm after police broke into the apartment using stun grenades and removed the suspect from the home via a stretcher. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old John Paton, has been transported to the hospital.
