Here's our latest crime recap for the Outer Sunset.

With warmer weather comes an increase in home burglaries, warns SFPD's Taraval Station in a post on its website. “Many of the burglaries are being committed without force, through half-opened windows or unlocked doors. Bug screens and mesh alone are unable to protect against burglaries!”

If you're going outdoors to enjoy the weather, they advise keeping windows and doors closed and locked. Even when it becomes chillier because of fog, some residents close their windows, but leave them unlocked, leading to burglaries.

Here are some of the notable recent crimes that have taken place in the Outer Sunset. All information comes from SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.
