Upper Haight Week: Friday Night At The De Young, Cole Valley Fair, Hardly Strictly Approaches, MorePhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline

The sun will be out, San Francisco summer is finally here (in time for the autumn equinox) and it's going to be a beautiful weekend. Here's what you need to know for the weekend and beyond.

First, be advised for all your park-going activities that JFK Drive (as pictured above) will be intermittently closed to traffic over the next 10 days. In addition to the regular Sunday closure from the de Young west, there will be closures from September 26th to October 4th further west in the park, while crews set up stages for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.

Yes, Hardly Strictly 2016 is next weekend, and this year's lineup includes Cyndi Lauper, Mavis Staples, Patty Griffin, Shannon and the Clams, and the inimitable Buffy Sainte-Marie. The exact schedule has yet to be announced, so keep an eye on their website for times and stages.

In the meantime, tonight's installment of Friday Nights at the de Young is "The View from Above and to the West," a panel of printmakers who have collaborated with Ed Ruscha over the years.

And if you're seeking a wholesome alternative to Folsom, the Cole Valley Fair will be in full swing this Sunday, September 25th with local merchants and vendors.

Here's a look at your upcoming events around the Haight for the weekend and beyond. As always, peruse citywide events and submit your own events at hoodline.com/events.
