It's Halloween weekend, and if you're ready to kick it off with some spooky goings-on, we've got you covered.
Don't forget that if you've waited until the last minute to rock your costume, the Upper Haight Goodwill is often your best bet if the best costumes have already been snapped up at Costumes On Haight.
One of the first highlights of the weekend is Amoeba's record release party tonight for the first vinyl volume of the Stranger Things soundtrack, released today. The party is free, at Amoeba at 6pm. Get ready to get weird.
Later tonight is also the meet-and-greet with sensation Hannah Hart at the Booksmith (where this writer also works) at 7pm. $26 gets you Hannah's new book (required), a photo op, and a chance to say "hi" as your book is signed.
And Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm, you can get your Halloween makeup done by a pro at the Red Vic. Prices range from $60 to $275, depending on how deluxe you want to go.
Without further ado, here's a roster of our events in the Upper Haight through Halloween and beyond. As always, look for citywide events and submit your own at hoodline.com/events.
