An apparent murder-suicide Friday night left two people dead in Oceanview.

The SFPD reports that the shooting occurred at 9pm Friday, Oct. 21st, on the first block of Lobos Street.

According to the Examiner, the victim was a 68-year-old man from Cleveland named Dana Pierce. The suspect, who died by suicide, was 65-year-old Woody Carson, a San Francisco resident. The killing may have been related to a family argument.

This is the third killing near Plymouth Street this month, the Examiner also noted, and Supervisor John Avalos is already in conversation with neighbors regarding re-establishing a police substation at Broad and Plymouth.
