Rich Table Rotisserie Spinoff Headed To Hayes Valley's Former Mandarin VillaPhoto: Nuala Sawyer/Hoodline

After more than four years holding down the corner of Oak and Gough, Rich Table is making an expansion play—right down the street. A block away from their original location, at Oak and Franklin, husband-and-wife chefs Sarah and Evan Rich plan to open RT Rotisserie, a casual, counter-service restaurant specializing in chicken.

According to Eater SF, RT Rotisserie will offer roast chicken combo dinners ($20-25/person), along with unique sides, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The goal is to offer takeout, targeting busy parents like the Riches themselves, but they'll also offer wine and oysters for those who prefer a sit-down meal.

The 1,200-square-foot Mandarin Villa space, a major mystery spot for Hayes Valley locals since it closed last June, is being redesigned by Fine Root. The plan is to be open daily from 11am-9pm. The timeline for opening is "early 2017," and we'll keep you posted when it arrives.
