Bayview Crime & Safety: Masked Men Invade Home, Pedestrian Kidnapped, GPS Tracks Robbers, MorePhoto: Meaghan M. Mitchell/Hoodline

Hoodline aims to keep neighbors informed of crime and quality-of-life issues in the neighborhoods we cover. In this Bayview crime recap and others, we won't be covering every on-the-street incident, but we'll do our best to give readers a snapshot of what's been going on.

Since our last crime roundup we reported the arrest of documentary filmmaker Kevin Epps, who was suspected of murdering Markus Polk Sr., at Epp's home in Glen Park. Epps was released days later due to a lack of sufficient evidence, but the homicide remains under investigation.

We also covered the arrest of an 18-year-old Millbrae resident who's facing accusations of fatally shooting 19-year-old Alejandro Valle in September.

Here's a selection of additional crimes that took place over the past month in the Bayview police district, which includes Bayview, Hunters Point, Potrero Hill and the Dogpatch. All details are pulled from the SFPD's daily crime recaps, unless otherwise noted.
