Berlin-Based DJ Bereft After Buffalo Exchange Bag TheftPhoto: Buffalo Exchange

The latest target of a robbery in the Upper Haight is Jamaica Suk, a Berlin-based DJ of Bay Area origin, who had her bag stolen on Friday afternoon after putting it down for a moment while trying on a jacket at Buffalo Exchange (1555 Haight).

The bag contained a MacBook Pro, three external hard drives, and two USB drives that amounted to four years' worth of work, Suk said in a post on Facebook. She only had her backup drives on her because she was planning to take the items for repair at a shop down the street.

"I usually have a backup in my suitcase or at home," Suk wrote. "The one day I kept everything on me, it was all taken from me."

Suk said footage of the thief was captured on Buffalo Exchange's security cameras, but the store manager said she wasn't able to make footage available to Hoodline.

Though hope of recovering her stolen items is slim, Suk is asking locals to keep an eye out for her gear. "If you hear anything about a navy blue heritage laptop backpack, three external hard drives, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with a L.A.G. tiger on it, or two 64-gig Sandisk USBs, please call the police," she writes.

Suk was back in California to kick off shows around the Bay Area and Los Angeles. She'll play at Monarch in San Francisco on November 20th, and also has scheduled tour dates in Vancouver, British Columbia and Atlanta, Georgia.
