Hit-And-Run Causes Nasty 4-Car Crash At Evans & NewhallPhoto: Meaghan M. Mitchell/Hoodline

Emergency responders were on the scene at Evans and Newhall this afternoon, where a four-car collision left multiple people with minor injuries.

According to a witness who has requested to be anonymous, two people got into a heated argument at a gas station down the street, on Third and Newhall. One of those people left the station in a gold SUV and drove southbound down Evans Street; the other person involved in the altercation followed in another vehicle.

As both cars drove down Evans street, the rear car sideswiped the SUV, causing it spin out and hit two parked vehicles, a red Volvo and dark gray SUV. The individual in the car which swiped the SUV sped away following the crash; SFPD is currently searching for the vehicle.

"My office is right upstairs," said Jenny, the owner of the red Volvo. "I was just parked here. That had to be some collision to turn my car around. I'm glad no one was hurt badly and I wasn't inside my car."

The gold SUV had multiple people in it, including two women and a small child. SFPD told us that they were sent to the hospital with abrasions, but that the injuries are currently considered non-life-threatening.
