Hoodline Is Seeking Neighborhood WritersPhoto: Hoodline

Do you live, work, or spend quality time in San Francisco's neighborhoods? Do you have writing experience and an interest in local news and culture?

Hoodline is on the hunt for new neighborhood editors to lead coverage in the following neighborhoods:

  • The Marina
  • The Mission
  • Nob Hill/Lower Nob Hill
  • Noe Valley/Glen Park
  • Pacific Heights
  • Potrero Hill/Dogpatch
  • The Richmond
  • Tenderloin/Civic Center

What's a neighborhood editor, you ask?

This is a paid, part-time, freelance position. Our neighborhood editors write about a dozen stories a month across a broad range of topics in their neighborhoods, from business and crime news to profiles of locals, development updates to art & culture.

It's fun, it's rewarding, and again—it's paid.

Interested? Let us know a few details about yourself, your writing background, and what neighborhood(s) you're interested in covering here.

And for a peek behind the curtain, you can learn a little more about two of our existing neighborhood editors here and here.
