It was a violent evening around the city yesterday, with two homicides reported in the Mission and Tenderloin, as well as a Bayview shooting that left a woman in critical condition.
The killings mark the City's 58th and 59th homicides of the year, up from last year's total of 53.
Man shot, killed on Valencia
A violent incident on the 200 block of Valencia Street left one man dead of a gunshot wound, according to police. The incident was reported around 6:25pm yesterday, with Mission Local reporting that the fatal attack took place outside Burma Love restaurant near Division.
Tipster Brezina shared word of the "huge police activity" on Valencia at Division, and said that according to a police officer on the scene, "a fight over a bike" may have prompted the incident.
The victim is identified as a 38-year-old man, and though no arrest has been made, the suspect is reportedly a 35-year-old man. An SFPD spokesman stated this morning that no further information is currently available, and that the homicide remains under investigation.
2 shot, 1 fatally, near Civic Center
At around 5:15pm yesterday evening, two men were shot on the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue in the Tenderloin. One victim, a 39-year-old man, suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The other, a 41-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrest has been made, and the incident is "pending Investigation," according to SFPD.
Woman critically injured in Bayview shooting
Police report that around 1:30pm yesterday afternoon, a large group of people got into a physical fight in area of Ingalls Street at George Court. This fight led to a shooting in which a 22-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
No arrest has been made, but SFPD lists the suspects as one man and three woman of unknown ages.
