As the days become ever shorter, thoughts turn to hot chocolate, fuzzy sweaters, and the important business of staying warm. Luckily, despite the chill, Outer Sunset residents have many events that are worth going out for.

On Friday night, put on a sweater and join your neighbors and small business owners for the fourth annual tree lighting at McCoppin Square Playground. Make an ornament at Parkside Library, and enjoy carols and refreshments at this holiday celebration.

Saturday features the Library of Life, a new plant and seed bank at Ortega Branch Library. Participants can check out plants, and return seeds and cuttings back to the Library of Life.

Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
