The SFPD reports that a 19-year-old man is in critical condition following a stabbing yesterday evening at 7:30pm.

The stabbing, which took place on the 700 block of Mission Street—adjacent to both Jessie Square and Yerba Buena Gardens—was the result of a knife attack by two male suspects in their late teens.

According to the SFPD, the two suspects approached the victim and started talking to him. The first suspect attempted to punch the victim, who walked into the street to avoid his antagonists. They followed him, and the second suspect stabbed him.

The victim, who hasn't yet been publicly identified, is reported as being in life-threatening condition at San Francisco General Hospital. No arrest was made.
