Last week's rain may seem a distant memory in light of today's blue skies, but don't put away those umbrellas just yet. The wet weather is returning tomorrow, with a series of storms that is expected to douse the Bay Area all the way through the weekend.

According to the Chronicle, things will start getting wet mid-day tomorrow, when National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Anderson said that up to an inch of rain is expected. Potential 40-mile-per-hour winds will make things extra hairy for commuters.

Tomorrow's downpours "are not going to be as strong as the previous storms,” Anderson said—good news for those fearing a repeat of last week's spate of downed trees. “But that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t cause problems.”

A moment of sunny respite will come mid-day on Thursday, but with a 60 percent chance of being sandwiched on either side by morning and late-afternoon storms, the break in the rain isn't expected to last long.

The National Weather Service expects Thursday night's soaking to continue all the way through Friday, with another downpour on Sunday. All told, Anderson predicts, we'll get roughly three inches of rain over the course of the next three days.

For those with plans to march in Saturday's Women's March, Saturday is expected to be mostly dry—with only a "slight chance of showers," according to the NWS.

Sunday's precipitation will likely be the heaviest of the week, so plan accordingly. But overall, this week's storms are predicted to be far calmer than last week's—a welcome relief for everyone still drying out their rain boots.
