A woman was killed when a truck towing a trailer struck her this afternoon in the city’s Cow Hollow neighborhood. (Update: the victim has been identified as 76-year-old Jeanie Yee.)

First reported by KRON, the woman suffered life-threatening injuries as she was crossing at Union and Buchanan streets at around 12:30pm, police said.

Conflicting reports are unclear about what happened when she was injured; one witness said she was run over, while another report states police are still trying to determine what part of the truck made contact with her.

The woman died after being rushed to the hospital by paramedics.

No arrests have been made; the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.

Representatives from the San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office could not be reached.
