The opening of the downtown location of Trader Joe's is finally here. According to the grocery chain's website, its sixth San Francisco location is set to open its doors at 10 4th Street next Thursday, February 16th at 8am.

That's welcome news for those who work or live in the downtown area, many of whom have been without a grocery store since the Bristol Farms in the Westfield Mall closed at the end of January

The entrance to the new Trader Joe's will be located on 4th Street, with an escalator taking customers to the subterranean location, which is underneath Old Navy.

Unlike Trader Joe's other SF locations, there is no parking at the 4th Street location. Drivers can post up at the 5th and Mission/Yerba Buena Parking Garage, which has an entrance on Mission Street between 4th and 5th streets. However, the location is extremely convenient for BART and Muni riders, since it's adjacent to Powell station and several bus lines.

The exact hours for the new store have not yet been released, but we'll keep you posted.
