Neighbors this morning reported another arboreal casualty to the wind and rain storm last night. Some time in the wee hours, a venerable laurel tree on the southeast side of the Masonic and Haight intersection split and toppled, crushing a yellow Toyota SUV in the process. The tree was still down and hampering a northbound traffic lane after 9am today.
