Though a federal judge yesterday issued a ruling temporarily blocking President Trump’s controversial immigration order, a large protest against the immigration ban is continuing as planned, kicking off with a 3pm rally at Civic Center.

A march that began at a meeting of the group SF United Against Trump in the Mission proceeded up Valencia Street to Market Street earlier today, causing temporary Muni delays as it joined up with the Civic Center rally.

Over 10,000 people have indicated on the event's Facebook page that they plan on attending the rally. According to a police officer at the scene, between 1,000 and 2,000 people were gathered in front of City Hall as of 3:45pm.
