San Francisco firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze in Chinatown this morning.

According to the San Francisco Fire Department's tweets, the fire was first reported at 4:04am at 39 Waverly Pl.,  a four-story commercial and residential building between Clay and Sacramento streets. Wong Family Benevolent Association operates out of the building's ground floor space.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and one elderly victim was rescued. The gentleman is reportedly being treated for non-life threatening smoke injuries.

Red Cross and representatives from other city services were on the scene this morning to assist anyone who had been displaced; however, the total number of displaced persons is not yet known.
