In yesterday's business roundup, we reported on the newest eats to hit the streets of San Francisco. We're continuing our list today with a rundown of local businesses (and even more restaurants) that have recently opened or shuttered around the city.

SF Eats

Inner Richmond: Hawker Eats Becomes AYI
1650 Balboa St.

Hawker Eats, an Inner Richmond fixture, known for its Japanese fusion dishes like ramen and karaage curry, has shut down. Although a reason for closure has not been cited, Yelp warns consumers that the restaurant received a poor food safety rating, in the bottom 5 percent locally.

The restaurant is now AYI super Korean food & soju house, specializing in traditional Korean dishes like bibimbap and Korean BBQ, along with soju cocktails. A current AYI employee tells us that it's under new ownership.

Valencia's Bangkok Bistro, which opened in May 2016, has shuttered after less than a year. The family-owned establishment served generous and affordable portions of "specialities straight from Thailand," but its voicemail box confirms that it has closed.
